You don’t like Hoarders? That show has had the best influence on me. I have cleaned out closets and cabinets and drawers. It has worked wonders on my house. I decided I did NOT want to be thought of as a hoarder if I should pass suddenly.

Whenever I get sick I clean up before I go to bed because I always think, “this is where they’ll find the body.”

Agree, that program has caused me to throw out something every now and then and feel so proud of myself...:O) GG (AKA the hoarder) It also helped to stop selling on ebay and hitting garage sales every weekend, secret thrift shops and goodwill industries...Although at goodwill I found a 14K gold retirement watch for 5 dollars once..it pays to open the boxes on the shelf’s sometimes...sold for 100 dollars but not on ebay..

Shows about hoarders are great motivation. My husband watched a couple of episodes with his mouth hanging open - he’d read about such things but he never imagined what it was really like. He’s always been something of a packrat. Shortly afterward, I suggested we put on a garage sale and I couldn’t believe the stuff he wanted to put out, stuff I never thought he’d let go. Those shows really got his attention.
