How did this car get here?
My Dark and Foreboding Mind........... ^ | 04-13-11 | Red Badger

This is a picture of the Chery QQ. It is made in CHINA. There is one on a USED CAR LOT near my house in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.

Price: $2400.

They have no dealerships or distribution network in the USA. They had proposed to sell these cars here back in 2005. They had deals with Chrysler and later Nissan, but since the 2008 crash and subsequent government takeover of Chrysler, that deal has died. As far as I know, this model has not passed any EPA or NHSTA tests in order to be allowed to be imported. They have had LEGAL problems with GM saying that the car is a rip-off of the of the Daewoo Matiz (which is marketed outside South Korea as the Chevrolet Spark).

My question is: How did this car get here?........

The Obammy Greenie Mobile. It’s what we’ll all be driving if he’s re-elected.

“20% less issues” should have read “20% fewer issues”, but what can we reasonably expect from the so-called ‘journalists’ of today?

And you may ask yourself-Well...How did I get here?

Yep. *sigh*

At $2400 I’ll take two

Good thinking, as you'll need one for each foot.

You should see the crash tests on the Chery QQ - a collision with a tricycle would kill you.

"You may as well drive around in a cardboard box:"

Agreed on small cars, but have a look at this one. It did much better.

1. It was driven across the Canadian border.
2. Wolf Fat brought it in the hold of his 747
3. It was the personal vehicle of a Chinese official and was part of his household goods

When working outdoors, we should wear cone-shaped rice hats and pajamas. Maybe that'll get the attention of the Obamabile drivers with their tanks full of debt.

Where is it at? Over on Mary Easter Cutoff? Off Beal? I will have to keep any eye out for it.

I suppose you could sneak over and write down the car’s VIN (if it’s where it should be on the dash) and run a CARFAX on it and see what the story is. You can’t bring a non-complying car into the US unless it’s for a car museum or it’s a race car, the EPA and Customs are really fanatical about that.

What harm is there in asking? You don’t have to believe him if you it sounds fishy. Or on to CARFAX.
