If she actually spends the community service time, that will do more to turn her sorry life around than jail.
Nevertheless, it's hard to think of what sort of "shock" could be enough to make her realize her life is all "F-U", to quote the judge.

My daughter (then 10) and I used to cuddle up and watch "The Parent Trap" together when Lohan was a cute, wholesome little girl; how time, fame and Hollyweird will change someone!

Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, said she will appeal, allowing the Lohan, 24, to post bail, which was set at $75,000.

I wonder what I would get for a sentence. A 50 year old white guy, if I had a few DWIs and other problems with the law, and then walked in after stealing a valuable necklace.
I do nothing I would be spending time at a shelter or the morgue.
I would be looking at 2-5 easy.
This is true Hollywood BS.
