It almost pains me to say this, but Romney is sounding good on Greta. Almost as good as Trump.

Unfortunately you’re right! It will probably be too late to worry about such silly things as voting anyway by then...

Precisely.

If we fail to put a tiger in the White House, who will ferociously deconstruct the Socialist matrix that's killing this country, then go after all of the unconstitutional agencies that enable that pillage, there won't be anything left to do but take the country back the old fashioned way.

Romney is as much a chameleon as Trump is (both are pure salesmen). Both will say whatever is necessary at any given time to win, but ultimately stand for next to nothing. When I listen to Romney I hear a very polished politician who wants political power for the sake of possessing that power - not because he wants to do anything worthwhile. His goal is to be President far more than it is to succeed in enacting an ideologically conservative agenda.

The only advantage to Romney is, in theory, he would be more accountable to the conservative base since he is closely wed to the Republican party structure. Someone like Trump could use the Republican party to win and then just wander straight off the reservation and pursue all the progressive/liberal goals he’s previously stood for.

Mitt will say the right things as the primary season closes, he will thread the needle and try to be the “grown up in the room”, above the fray, etc. He is a seasoned, smart, savvy politician, but it is impossible to know what he really believes in - if indeed he even has strong convictions about much at all.

Whoever emerges from the GOP primary will have my vote, but I certainly hope it isn’t Mitt Romney. I’d vote for him in the general, but with almost no enthusiasm. I want an intellectual conservative, with a conservative track record that demonstrates that person is committed to the cause of dismantling the social welfare state.

I have no idea if he’s running. And I have no idea why you are so sensitive.

Trump is really pounding Obama and I’m enjoying the heck out of it!

Sensitivity isn’t the issue here... however I’m seeing quite a bit of it from FReepers who’ve jumped onto the TrumpenRino’s bandwagon. Yes, Trump is pounding Obama, and I too am enjoying it. But where was Trump in 2008? Oh, yeah...he liked “hope and change” back then.

Milt is anybody you want him to be!

He'll say anything you want him to say!

Just please, please, let him be President because he has wanted to be President since he was a little boy!

I really don’t see what magic underwear has to do with it.

As I have said before, “I have really liked most of the Mormons I have met”. I have never met Mitt. If it comes down to Obama or Mitt, with some difficulty I will vote Mitt. I do hope it doesn’t come to that.

Huck? I sure hope not, that would really be difficult.

I'm enjoying the thread and wanted others to laugh too. Laughter is good for these times. Not desiring ozone nor pounding.

Neither do I. I was only humoring the 'Gunner. But please don't tell him that.

You mean thatr little home that Trump offered 1 million dollars to the little old lady, plus the Penthouse suite for the rest of her life?

Doesn't mean squat if she didn't want to sell.

If Romney gets the nomination, I'm voting Libertarian or Constitution party

That kind of thinking got King Obama elected. Any R would be better than the communists black Muslim. Better get your thinking improved or you just might get the King. Forget this third party crap or is it your belief it is better to split the vote.

It pains me that we should ever have to have Trump and Romney as potential candidates from which to *chose*.

My belief is that I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY. Period.

What part of that don't you understand? If that bothers you, perhaps you should work toward getting someone else the nomination. I damn sure am.

Sometimes I think it’s better to have another term for Obama then to have a spineless RINO like Romney in the White House.

Things are going in the tank. Almost any RINO will only delay it and give the libs a straw man to blame when things get ugly. A real conservative would give us a change of direction, but with Romney it would only be a slow down on the same course to disaster.

What could happen, is our candidates - presumably of reasonable mental faculties one and all - will notice that speaking out, attracts America’s attention.

And do so.

It is not “bipartisanship” which Americans crave.

It is guts.
