The Ingram MAC 10 and MAC 11 were originally designed as machine pistols and developed in the early 1970s for military use. The MAC 10 chambers the 45ACP and the MAC 11 fires the 9mm. I would imagine they can be purchased in semi-auto configurations for those without BATF full auto permits.

I had a sweet semi auto stainless steel Mac 11 for a while. Never even got a chance to shoot it before my buddy bought it. I miss that gun....but I have Uzi now so it’s all good.

Not quite. MAC-10s are both .45 and 9mm. The MAC-11 is smaller, and is .380 caliber.
