That always struck me as a funny sort of thing. In my whole K12 experience a day never went buy without hearing about getting men on the moon as if that were the whole focus of Western civilization and then they did it in 69 and then, after a few more landings and orbital flights...
"Oh well, ho hum, been there, done that, now it's time to get back to more meaningful things such as perfecting our wellfare state..."
That seem believable to you? Or could it be that whatever they found up there messed their minds so badly that the whole thing became a black op at that point and was never in the news again?
