Oh right, that R in Barack wouldn’t be stamped, but nevertheless it shows the same random artefacting as the ‘1’.

Basically the scanning- or compression- process has turned this PDF into an image with no probative value: you could hide a battleship-load of digital manipulation in this jungle of messed up pixels, or it might be 100% completely genuine. We just can’t tell without a photo.

The “R” in Barack is subject to the same problem as any of the stamped numbers on the page. And, for that matter, ANY of the typed or handwritten sections.

Think about it:

High resolution scanners are very sensitive to slight color/shade variations. On old typewriters, the shade of a letter was linked to the amount of pressure applied to the keys. (Or, in some cases, depending on fast the typist was typing, whether or not the letter arms impacted against each other and lost energy on their way to the paper.)

Soooo...

If the “R” was not pressed as firmly as the other letters, it would have left a lighter impression on the paper. When the scanner picked it up, the lighter color was treated as gray instead of black and was subject to a different anti-aliasing technique.

Same thing with handwriting. The hand can apply different amounts of pressure OR the ink can come out darker when you begin writing versus when your word/sentence completes. Everyone has experienced that while writing with pens. Therefore, the scanner would treat these sections as a slightly different color/shade and give a different anti-aliasing technique.

Couple that with an OCR technology that is trying to pull text of all the same shade off the page, and you could easily wind up with layers.

I’m growing more convinced that we are looking at an actual copy of the real document Hawaii has on file. I don’t believe anything has been doctored.

If this is the case, good on Obama for finally releasing this and putting the BC question to bed. Now we can focus on how he is destroying the country.

(What a bastard for holding on to it for so long, though, and letting the issue tear the country up. Man, I hate this guy.)
