Lost me with this gobbledygook. Anybody translate British slang out there in FReeperland? I get the bit about the “travelers” I believe to be the Gypsies, but the rest of it is totally lost to me.

Translation: She got mad at the police for doing nothing about the travelers and gave the policeman an earful. Instead of arresting her, they took the gun.

Travellers in the UK are usually Irish gypsies rather than Roma.

Old Bill = Police Station

Sweet FA - FA means Fu*k All, or jack squat.
Doing Sweer FA means not doing a damn thing.

Plod = Police officer or constable

Nick = arrest someone
