Yes she was.

Prince Philip is Greek and Danish. Mostly Danish.

Diana is wholly English.

Elizabeth’s mom was wholly English as well, and her dad, was German.

So for William, now Duke of Cambridge, with his great-grandparents:

Danish, Greek, English, German, English, English, English, English.

That makes him 5/8ths English, 1/8th Dane, 1/8th German, 1/8th Greek.

Thank you for the info. My Mom was very into family history. Of course the most interesting thing was discovering what a mongrel I am. :)

No not Greek at all - The Greek royalty were descendants of Queen Victoria, German.
