Shreveport officer cited for hit-and-run
A Shreveport police officer has been cited for hit-and-run damage to a patrol car and is under investigation for possible violations of department policies.
Officer Brenda Disotell, who was hired in February 2009, was issued a traffic citation Monday on one count of hit-and-run, a police release says. The citation resulted from investigation into damage seen in early January on a department-issued 2006 Chevrolet Impala parked in a police parking lot in the 1700 block of Snow Street.
Shreveport Police Department crash investigators learned that Disotell was the last person assigned to the vehicle prior to the damage being noticed. Based on statements from Disotell and other evidence gathered during the investigation, investigators believe she was responsible for the damage.
Chief of Police Willie Shaw also has ordered an administrative investigation as well to determine what departmental policies may have been violated.
I wonder where he got rehired unto?
Seriously...
The other day I saw a CHP cruiser on a flat bed tow truck...the cruiser looked to have been submerged in a swamp and had obvious signs of being involved in a off road cross-country high speed chase. Now that’s story I’d like to hear....
Any investigation will demonize his people.
The officer was fired, so we can rule that out.
