Yes, and they removed all phosphates from dishwasher soap a couple of years back. Noticed they don't get the dishes as clean now, and leave spots and calcium deposits? Bet you thought it was the dishwasher, huh?

I started mixing up good, old-fashioned TSP with my dish soap and now the dishes sparkle again.

Mee too. I add a 1/2 teaspoon of TSP to powdered Cascade in the dishwasher and Wow! What a difference. I buy my TSP at True Value Hardware.

powdered Cascade

Our plumber tells us not to use powder....the residue can clog up your p-trap eventually....actually, not "can" but "will" - no more clogs since we switched several years ago.

A few months ago, we researched how much TSP to add to the dishwasher - consensus was a quarter teaspoon; more can reverse the sparkling effect.
