"A crowd of about 40 in a hot warehouse stacked with plumbing supplies cheered..." A "crowd" of 40???
I guarantee you that Sarah would pull in 100 times that many folks, just showing up unannounced.

40 = Baa-whoosh, kind of fitting for a plumbing warehouse in an around the bowl and down the hole kind of way :^)

He’ll be funded and polled as a contender until the bitter end. Facts not withstanding.

He’s in the wrong party.

Romney, who spent the entire second half of his one term in political office launching his run for president? (And has been running ever since.)
To: Windflier
Heck, between Todd, the kids, the grandkid, the ‘rents(who seem to be around quite a bit) she already has a dozen or so.
This is a huge problem with Romney. He’ll be drawing 40 here, 25 there, 50 there, 100 there. Meanwhile, Obama will be having 30,000 here, 50,000 there, doing outdoor rallies just like 2008 in parks and stuadium and wherever else.
The comparisons will not be good.

When he was here in Colorado, Romney’s appearance in Denver drew a small handful of people. Within a day or so of Mitt’s visit, I saw in the paper where Ron Paul had visited, too. He was greeted by a full ballroom.
I’m not a Paul supporter, but I did notice the difference between numbers at the time. I also recall that the weather for the Paul visit was much worse - lots of snow.
Romney never seems to draw much of a crowd. He lies like a rug and is bereft of a noticeable personality, it’s no wonder, so no surprise.

It will not matter - no one is interested in Mitt, except Mitt.

Oh, and, this is just my opinion, but I think that if Huntsman enters the race as expected, it’ll sink both him and Romney.
There are too many Southern Christians who don’t want to vote for a Mormon. Seeing two in the race is apt to turn them against both of them entirely.
I lived in the South for a long time. Mormons are usually politely tolerated, but that’s about it.

Not even at his book signing. Not like Palin's book signing where in many states people slept in the parking lots to be sure they got in the next day.

Our family has a friend who manages a very large bookstore. Sarah Palin visited and signed books in his store during her first book tour.
He (our friend) told us that the lines went all the way around the building and doubled back. It was cold at the time, and no one seemed to mind at all.
On the other hand, the weather SC was probably pretty nice today... the forecast was for the low/mid 80’s...
and all Mitt Romney could muster was 40 people.

I remember seeing pixs of those in the parking lots with some sort of fire keeping them warm and all bundled up. Amazing - all around the building and doubling back. That's something the media wants us to forget - but remember only what they say about her. Patriots know their own and never forget.
40 is laughable and for a weekend. I remember reading how some who were interviewed said they took a vacation day to see Sarah on her tour.
To: ak267
I guess the elite establishment Republicans are correct. Sarah Palin would only draw about 4000 people to see her, not the big 40 that showed up for Romney.

40 Mormons support Romney. HOLD THE PRESSES.
Who cares?
Romney is pro-Obama, pro-Obamacare, pro-TARP, pro-IAG.
