The fact of the matter is, there is no way computers would have advanced this quickly if we hadn't been able to backwards-engineer the crashed alien spacecraft.

There are still three things we cannot fathom: The Faster-Than-Light engine, the AntiGrav units, and the materials this amazing machine was made of. Curiously the spacecraft had no weapons.

I disagree ... Invention of the transistor (both bipolar and FET) was a reasonable outcome of solid-state physics research in the mid XX Century, and development of integrated circuits from discrete transistors is an engineering problem, not a matter of scientific discovery.

.....or something of an even greater mystery.....like when they travel at the speed-of-light, and they turn on their headlights, like what happens then? Great minds wonder.........
