Taser makes claymore variants.... Used to deny such a bum rush on embassies etc ...
Had a lot of fun with an LRAD one day on the range. Had some students from a nearby military installation that were there in there vehicle which was set up for just about any type of crowd situation. We had some other folks qualifying on a range below us... We fired up the LRAD and used the pre-programmed "You are approaching a United States Navy vessel. Change course immediately!" message (we are hundreds of miles from the Atlantic and the Gulf, so we weren't particularly worried about being accused of imitating a warship) at an unbelievable volume. It was so loud that it was like a message from God. The folks down on the lower range were trying to figure out from where the message was coming. We thought about giving them a short burst of the nasty stuff, but knew there would be questions that we didn't want to have to answer - so we didn't do it.
Technology can be a lot of fun...
