Reminds me of a certain South Park skit.

Shouldn’t she have to be declared dead before he can legally remarry? Seems a little early for that. What do you suppose happened to her? (/s)

He managed to get her declared dead this soon, with no body found?

The husband must be very competent that he did a thorough job of getting rid of the body.
To: NEMDF
What, he waited a good 7 weeks after she mysteriously vanished from the face of the earth before getting engaged to someone else. Ain’t love grand?

Wouldn’t you think the disappearance of his first wife would worry the woman who’s about to become his second? Unless she was in on it...
To: NEMDF
Waterboard the loving husband.
To: American Quilter
Unless she was in on it... That should make her worry even more.

Police detectives anywhere
except in Colorado might find this behavior a little suspicious.

Weird case
The couple had filed divorce papers - but they weren’t finalized
The police suspect foul play - but didn’t name any suspects
Relatives of the woman have a restraining order on this man - but doesn’t have anything to do with the investigation
Weird case
How do you finalize a divorce without two signatures or a death cert for one of them?
GUy sounds like a real catch - caring and thoughtful./s

That was my first thought, too. He buried her so deep she’ll never be found.
