You are fortunate. There are plenty of instances of SNAD claims where the buyer simply returns anything and wins the dispute. As I said, most buyers are honest (I am mostly a buyer, sometime seller) and positive stories don’t tend to be told as the bad ones are. But, buyers do have the upper hand nowadays. I have no idea of a solution, just saying it does happen and Paypal admits to backing buyers most of the time.
Depending on what category you sell in, there are various scams. It is a shame.
If I’m not mistaken, I think you have 40 days in which to resolve the problem..............Don’t panic, take one step at a time.
It appears that PayPal made a mistake, this guy had another busted transaction and PayPal froze the wrong account.
The $$ are back, the account is unfrozen, it’s all good. Thanks to all.
In 25 years that I've had the credit card, the company (American Express) has never messed up once, not one single time. I'm a big fan of American Express -- they've always been more than square with me. In the 12 years or so I've dealt with PayPal, they've screwed up a couple of times, and a freind of mine had a real nightmare with PayPal one time on an ebay sale.
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for PayPal in a lot of ways ... but it's not my favorite.
THANKS again, Val!
