Close enough for government work.
Adam Kokesh was a leader in the Iraq Veterans Against War, a group formed with the assistance of the old Vietnam Veterans Against the War and other leftist groups to drum up anti-US "war crimes" agitprop. That didn't work out well, so Kokesh pretended he was really some sort of libertarian Republican and ran for a Congressional seat in New Mexico. This irritated a number of veterans, including former SEAL Larry Bailey, who was at the time the leader of the group Gathering of Eagles. Larry penned an open letter that nailed Kokesh to the wall, and he was wiped out in the GOP primary.
Little has been heard from him since.
