Though I think it is right to fear the government getting involved, and that alone may be enough to oppose net neutrality and the EFF. But I've read the FCC neutrality rules, and it doesn't look bad, and certainly nothing like a marxist revolution.

EFF does some good things.
I don't agree with them all the time but they support a lot of things conservatives can also agree with.
About their funding... Leftist billionaires create foundations and causes. Rightwing billionaires for whatever reason don't. It's as simple as that.
That is why we are losing this fight. You can find some leftist funder behind every single tech organization.
The right hasn't been in the fight.
