Tea Party coming out against Mitt Romney
Politicons- Politically Conservative ^ | June 2 | Henry D'Andrea

I’m not saying every tea partier is against Mitt Romney, but many prominent Tea Party groups are saying no to Romney for President.

FreedomWorks, an influential Washington-based group working within the Tea Party movement, say they do not support Mitt Romney for President, because of his moderate record as governor. The group’s communications director said, it’s because “Romney has a record and we don’t really like it that much.” Brendan Steinhauser, the group’s liaison to smaller, grassroots organizations said, Romney is, “inauthentic.” They also have some beef with RomneyCare.

Also, the Tea Party organization’s president and CEO Matt Kibbe was hesitant to fully unleash on him. “I wouldn’t actually say that FreedomWorks is targeting Mitt Romney,” Kibbe told The Daily Caller. “Frankly, we’re looking at everyone,” he said, “We’re looking at all candidates and trying to measure them by some objective standard.” He went on to talk about RomneyCare, “Obviously health care is a fundamental issue, particularly if you plan on successfully debating President Obama,” said Kibbe. “And looking at Romneycare, it’s very difficult to figure out how you get to an acceptable Tea Party standard while still defending an individual mandate.” The Daily Caller also asked Kibbe if Romney could redeem himself if he renounced RomneyCare. Kibbe said, “That’s hard to say, tt would have had to be credible.” I for one agree with Kibbe. If Romney doesn’t admit that RomneyCare was a mistake, he won’t win the nomination. He may be leading the polls, but he’s yet to attend a debate. His formal position on RomneyCare has been that it was necessary for Massachusetts, and he would repeal ObamaCare if elected president. However, only 38% of Massachusetts voters view RomneyCare favorably. Tea Party Express President Amy Kremer was calling Romney’s heath care plan “absolutely unacceptable.”

Plus today, another Tea Party grouped launched a “Stop Romney” campaign, designed to prevent Romney from becoming the GOP candidate. The Western Representation PAC, a Nevada-based group led by the infamous former Alaska Senate candidate and Tea Party darling Joe Miller, said, “If we can stop Romney from winning New Hampshire, we can stop him from winning the nomination. He also exclaimed, “In a matchup against Obama, Tea Party voters are looking for a consistent constitutional conservative,” Miller said in a statement. “We will never get behind Mitt Romney. On issues like gun rights, gay rights, abortion, immigration, and health care, Romney has flipped more than John Kerry flopped.”

So will the Tea Party derailing against Romney hurt him in 2012? And who will FreedomWorks and Western Representation PAC endorse for President? We’ll have more on this.

I think this was pretty predictable. Romney is a snake oil salesman with a flashy smile, and the Tea Party folks saw through him long ago.

Chihuahua Willard "Mitt" Romney:
”Now that my Romneycare (funded 60% by US taxpayers)
is being pushed by my chosen (RINO) “Republicans" and the the DNC,
a little self examination is in order.
You may want to ask yourself 'if I had spent my time promoting
RomneyCare and Mitt Romney, could not
I have today garnered more support
of both our beloved President Obama and me?'
.
Now go play with your little bananas.“

The media thinks groups like Freedomworks is the Tea Party. It’s not. Dick Armey attacked the Tea Party before he tried to co-opt it. Kibbe and Armey are using the grassroots movement for their own financial gain.
