Pit Grackles ate all my mulberries before they even turned *white* this year.

Every spring, it’s a mad dash between bird species to see who gets them first, ripe or not.

Stupid pit birds.

Nah...it’s more than that.

Dogs don’t automatically -respect- The Food Bearer.

They see you as Top Dog.

Oh, those grackles...I discovered an elderberry tree in my neighbor’s yard, and I’m trying to figure out how to get them before the birds do.

I was 6’tall, 165#, and the dog was roughly 80# or so...I got on its back, wrapped my right arm under the throat, and just didn’t let go until the dog stopped resisting......I’d say about 5 minutes, and as far as I’m concerned, the dog didn’t stand a chance....I was not very happy with him....he is less happy with me....oh well

On these threads, I read about dog/animal stranglings, drownings, stabbings, beatings, shootings, poisoning methods galore and myriad other methods of brutal, gleeful sadism all the time.

Yes, it does still disturb me but sadly, it no longer surprises me.

I’ve learned the hard way that FReepers aren’t *all* automatically sane, decent people.

I’ve also cultivated a very healthy gratitude that I am well armed, well protected, secluded and live ~far away~ from the...uh...”fulfilled” ones.

At least you cited where you got your crap from... there is no way to accurately calculate which breeds attack/bite/kill people for multiple reasons. 1) hospitals dont keep record of what breed of dog victims are bit by. 2) media only tells us when a so called dangerous dog attacks. 3) most people cant pick an american pit bull terrier out of a line up. Try it out http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html . If you want some accurate and scientific information on which breeds are most likely to bite check out atts.org. You’ll be supprised on which breeds are more likely to bite.

On a more personal note i have a 9 yr old, 4yr old and 3 yr old “pit bull” all living peacefully with my 2 yr old son. Although I wouldnt leave my baby alone with any dog even a yorkie.
