What to do?

Make sure all your Firefox Browsers are closed before installing the Flash player or it will not install.

Did you possibly get a 64 bit laptop? The regular version of Flash Player plug-in doesn’t work with it. You can search on Adobe’s website for the 64 bit plugin.

I’m using Firefox 5.0 and have no problems with Adobe Flash 10.3.181.22. I probably installed it using IE9 though. You may want to try using IE for your installation. I have never had to reinstall the add ons for Firefox - uses the ones from IE just fine.

Had the same problem. Go to the Firefox Tab, click add ons then select plugins and click on enable Adobe Flash

Now that you’ve got Flash working, install the NoScript add-on to shut it off again. That is, unless you specifically want it on for a particular site and/or object, which you can re-enable via right mouse-click.
