News9.com:

HOUSTON – A West Point cadet is speaking out about an incident at Houston’s Bush International Airport involving R&B singer Patti LaBelle.

Houston native Richard King claims he was attacked while waiting for his family to pick him up outside the airport terminal.

“I had no idea who Patti LaBelle was until this incident,” King said.

Surveillance cameras captured parts of what happened.

“I was on the phone and that’s all I remember. I remember waking up the next day with staples in my head,” King said.

King was pushed into a concrete pole by LaBelle’s bodyguards and when he tried to stand up, he was unable to do so.

According to the police report, witnesses told investigators King threw the first punch.

On the surveillance video, King is seen talking on the phone before the altercation.

What in that legalese statement says what the Cadet did to deserve expulsion?

We’re still back at “offended a protected minority under the Holder DOJ” as just as plausible an explanation as any.

I seem to recall that Lavelle customarily would check into hotels for her latest gig and order up all kinds of freebies for her entourage. They are rabidly supportive of her. she was noted for the outragious hair dos.

Obama’s America; get beaten and hospitalized by racist thugs, get expelled.

Sounds more like South Africa or Zimbabwe. Is that where we’re headed?

Patti is definitely not a starlet. She is an old bag way past her prime (which was around 1970.)

From the news reporting the THUGS allegations, and based upon AR 210-26, the only SUPPOSED violation that may possibly be in play, IF YOU ACCEPT THE thugs words that he attacked them, would be this section:

“Cadets are required to act as leaders of character. They are not only to abstain from all vicious, immoral, and irregular conduct, but they are also enjoined to conduct themselves upon every occasion with the propriety and decorum characterizing a society of ladies and gentlemen.”

Again, this applies if you accept the THUGS words or the HPD. The Academy has no courage to cave like they did. Lt Col Sherri is no doubt a typical protected affirmative-action West Pointer, and possibly one of Holder’s people, too.

What chance did the cadet have?

Not much of one, given the PC environment today.

Actually it's the first thread with a video of him explaining what happened and accompanied by a airport video. That's ok, you're only 42 off.

Is it possible you don’t understand the meaning of “honor violation,” or the Point’s Honor Code? You seem to be missing a big point.

What part of the Honor Code did he violate? TallGuy said he probably made a false statement. I see no evidence of that.

Do you? If not, then what evidence do you have that he violated the Honor Code?

If you have evidence, produce it. If not, then making unsubstantiated charges is pointless. I don’t see what’s so hard to grasp about that.

Your pedantic nature precludes your understanding of the conversation here. Nobody is making a charge; someone is trying to figure out why the cadet might have been expelled for an honor violation. It’s a legitimate exercise in speculation.

It seems logical from the chain of events that the honor violation may have been connected to the airport incident. This is an acceptable inference in the real world. The honor code says that a cadet will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate one who does. Stealing and cheating seem unrelated to the airport incident. Ergo, the educated guess. But still a guess. That’s all he said.

Save the Supreme Court histrionics for the proper forum, counselor.

Are we certain that it was an honor code violation? West Point's statement that expulsion can be "for an honor violation or an act of misconduct" opens up that side of things.

. My guess is that it had to do with public intoxication. At least one story says that a blood test performed at the hospital indicated he was over the limit. The relevant regulation reads:

6-7. Alcoholic beverages
b. Elsewhere, a cadet who drinks or possesses alcoholic beverages, and who, as a result, commits (an) act(s), in such a manner and under such circumstances as to bring discredit on the cadet or the Corps of Cadets, may be separated from the Military Academy and awarded punishments under paragraph 6-4 of this regulation.

And I say it’s just as likely that West Point is coming down on this guy for PC reasons, Mr. Prosecutor.

But we’ll see what facts come to light.
