It’s a sad state of affairs when friends of the deceased have to “drown out Westboro Baptist Church’s message” so that mourners can proceed with a funeral.
(But a spokesman for the Topeka, Kan.-based church said it is spreading God’s word using a powerful platform and its First Amendment rights.)
FAIL.
These minions of satan are trying to destroy God’s Word. God’s Word is about Love. These people preach about hate which belongs to their master satan
Somebody is supporting these POS people.
They cannot carry on without funds. Where are their funds coming from?
Because they are not at all "Christians". They are left-wing frauds dedicated to making Christians look bad.
We need KickAss to unleash a skunk bomb on them and their compound. Where is a superhero when you need one?
They tried it in Nashville 2 weeks ago, didn’t work very well. Be sure this gets posted to the NC Profile page so those living near by can make their presence felt to counter this nutty cult.
Westoro sues people who mess with them and always wins. They are all sleazbag lawyers.
Anyone know the time of the funeral? I’m 35 miles up the road and would like to get down there. We are under a severe thunderstorm warning at the moment.
Maybe Fred will get zotted.
According to http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/charlotte/obituary.aspx?n=nicholas-s-obrien&pid=151968520&fhid=10991
Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 20th at First Assembly of God, 777 S. Myrtle School Road in Gastonia. Further honors and interment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28th.
There are some very good old boys in Gastonia, and I know a few of them, who will not stand idly by and watch WRC dishonor one of their own, and disrespect their town.
One of these days, WBC is going to provoke the wrong person, and the retaliation is going to be fast, extreme, and violent. Not everyone has the self-control to put up with this crap...
Brandon, Mississippi handled them well.

Thanks!
I just called the church and they said , “Come early, we’re expecting a large crowd.”
When she learned that the Westboro folks will be there, Mrs BN said, “Now don’t do anything to get yourself arrested!”
Who, me? Sweetness & Light personified! What trouble could a white haired, trifocals wearing, triple bypass patient geezer cause? (as he softly hums “From the Halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli...”)
Lance Corporal Nicholas O’brien just turned 21. I was a Lance Corporal when I turned 21 in Vietnam. I’d like to tell that to the Westboro crew and get them to look me in the eye and defend what they are doing today.
Pray for the O’Brien family.
I find it almost unbelievable that we haven’t thrown this bunch in a dumpster with 5 gal. of kerosene and a blazing Zippo. This cannot be allowed any longer. Somebody thump these bastards!
Today is about honoring L/Cpl O’Brien and sharing in his family’s grief.
It is NOT about a bunch of loonies from Westboro, nor is it about an old Marine veteran’s disgust at these loonies.
Be sure and ping me to the after-action report....Semper Fi.
Absolutely right. It’s been that way on the dozen-plus PGR missions I’ve attended.
