First, Superman renounces his American citizenship (then says he loves America---sound like someone else we know), and then he panders to Muslims...

There have been several Middle Eastern comic characters before. At the top is Black Adam from DC's JSA.

Black Adam is probably the best representation of a Middle Eastern mentality; he is arrogant, abrasive, and rather inclined towards unleashing all manner of violence, brutality, and death. A few years ago, during the whole 52 storyline, when the DC Universe jumped forward a year in time, Black Adam was responsible for starting World War Three. He completely destroyed a neighboring country, killed millions of innocents, sank an American aircraft carrier, attacked the United States mainland, and killed or maimed a number of superheroes.
