Could be, but ammo selection does make that less of a risk than loading up one’s defense magazines with steel core surplus Warsaw Pact ammo.

I recommended the AK-47 because of price, reliability, and price. However, I should have made clear that I suggested using the surplus stuff for practice.

Ultimately, gun control does come down to hitting your target. A good defense load should not overly penetrate an intruder.
