This has been a great cartoon series to help my 9 year old learn about the Revolution and it opens further discussion about it between him and me. It is available on Netflix Streaming. He's watching it as I type. As soon as one episode is over he ask for another. He loves it! I just asked him how he likes the cartoon and he said it is "Awesome"

They used to be on here in NYC on Sunday mornings years ago. My son and nephew watched an episode or two with me. (They didn't have a choice -- they were having a sleepover in the living room.) It wasn't there cup of tea, but I pointed out some of the educational stuff without mentioning that it was educational stuff.
Cronkite as Franklin was not as annoying as I'd thought he'd be.

My kids practically have all the episodes memorized. They’ve been a great jumping off point for lots of other learning and discussions, and book reading.
