A 2 year old Chinese girl defies the odds. Consider it a message, China.

Absolutely amazing. Velocity must have been very high at contact. The proper catch would involve timing a recoil motion to keep both parties from death and still might have caused serious injury. Wow!

Houston Astros should sign the lady to a long term contract for the outfield.

Now if we could only find a Chinaman that could throw a silver dollar across the Yellow River with some ‘hop’ on it.

Girl baby with grandmom?

Hm? What are the bets it was an “accident”?

Falling about 100 feet, the baby would be traveling at about 55 mph. Slowed to 0 mph in probably less than six feet.

According to the first source I found, an average two year old American girl weighs about 28 lbs. I assume Chinese babies are a bit smaller, say 25 lbs.

I applaud the woman's courage and quick judgment, but that baby still must have impacted the ground very hard.

Wow! Apparently it happened at about 1:30pm. About that time, my wife and I were visiting the National Silk Museum....it's about a mile or two away from where this happened.

You know what they say. Catch one Chinese kid, and an hour later you’re looking up again...
