Temperatures haven't risen for 12 years despite the rising carbon dioxide levels, and the predicted hotter, drier future has failed to materialize. Corals aren't dying, and the islands that we've been told for over 15 years are going to disappear are still here.

Whenever I see IPCC, I always think of Jack Vance’s IPCC, the “Interworld Police Coordinating Company”, written “IPCC” by Vance in many of his sci fi novels. I like Vance’s version better.

The latest “official word” (excuse) is (I can't remember the source, a week or so ago) that

(A) due to economic growth and energy demand growth in Asia, and in spite of greater human produced CO2

(B) there has been an even greater increase in human produced sulfur entering the atmosphere (all that dirty coal in China) which

(C) has "temporarily" offset the human produced CO2 emissions; but,

(D) this atmospheric-sulfur-caused reduction in the rate of atmospheric warming will decline in the decades ahead as China and others "clean up" their energy production, and

(E) then the global march of a warming atmosphere due to man-made CO2 will resume.

Don't flame me. I'm just reporting what some pro-AGW article was saying. It's not my view.
