I sometimes ping myself to help me find my way back to a thread later in the day or the following day. If I don’t have a particular comment, a ping is a polite way to do this. And yes, the act of pinging is effectively also a bump for those viewing under the comments tab because it does bring the thread back to the top of the comments list.

If you go the homepage, at the far right, click on “lastest posts” and it will give you the most recent comments on the entire site.

I usually click on “latest articles” but “latest posts” can be interesting at times, and it offers comments about all articles in the order they are posted.

I like the latest posts/comments button on occasion - especially late at night when posting might slow down.....

It’s a neat quick-scan option.

You can see it in action when you might post to a really old article post - and all of a sudden someone posts under you and you are like “how the heck did they find my post” - then you realize they’re on latest posts/comments....or they are stalking your posts - lol
