Thanks to AZ.44Mag for this one! Poll is way down on the left.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

EVERYTHING should be cut. This is like local goobermints threatening to cut cops, firemen, and teachers every time there’s a budget crunch.

Thanks for posting, I gotta go!

Social security could be cut. First we should cut politician's salaries way down, take their perks and county clubs. Cut federal and union wages. When everything else fail then cut SS ad Medicare by 1%.

Yes, cut Congressional salaries first! How about foreign aid? And did the EPA really need a 34% increase on the last budget? Mmmmm? Social Security to me is not entirely an entitlement...I’ve paid thousands and thousands and thousands into it since I was 15.

They did not mention all the wasteful government spending....so NO.

When they cut ‘all’ the waste then we’ll talk the other. Like the millions Reid sends to his state to errect buildings with his name on them etc.

People paid into SS. It’s not the Governments money regardless of how or not they managed it. Get rid of “all” the welfare fraud too...and all these freeloaders on disability. Then we’ll talk.

They’re just looking where the big bucks are that will hit all the people, instead of the billions they use for brownie points.

So a big NO!

No. Young women currently receiving welfare checks, government housing, and food stamps are far more able to work than the elderly. When we’ve cut out welfare to young, healthy individuals, then we can care for the elderly and disabled, who are the ones that deserve to be cared for.

To obtain anywhere near a balanced budget and bring the total Federal deficit under control, a contraction of 35%-40% in Federal spending is going to be needed. That means some serious rethinking of ALL entitlement programs. If we don’t do it now it will be forced on us later with much more pain. Mathematics doesn’t lie. The FSA(Free Sh_t Army) will not be happy...

They shouldn’t lump the welfare cases (medicaid) in with Social Security and Medicare.

Social security is not an entitlement, Medicare maybe. Lets defend the alphabet: ATF,ICE,FIB,Doe,FAA,NPS... Bring back the ethic “if you do not work you do not eat”. Don't threaten to take 401K and IRA until congress and the Army wages are the same. Colorado pays $5B to illegals on welfare and had to fight to find $100M for schools. That is just Wong!

No citizen or lawful resident of the United States "deserves" anything from their Government except equal and impartial protection of their God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I'm sick and tired of people insisting to me that they (or their pet special interests) "deserve" a piece of the wages that I honestly earn each day.

Quit giving SS to people that have never paid into it and keep the governments sticky fingers out and maybe will have money for those who were forced to pay into it.

They could just ask those who are able to do so to pay their own doctor’s bills & prescriptions for at least two years for starters. I’m already doing that, and it would be okay with me.

So you're okay with Federal confiscation of private property (401k and IRA balances) after Congressional wages are equalized with Army wages?
