Bristol criticizing Baby McCain is one thing, but I’m no fan of negative comments from a 20 year old against Mrs. McCain, a woman old enough to be her mother.
She never outright criticized Mrs. McCain as a person — she just described the reality of the situation: that the Palins do not come from first-class riding, stylist-hiring lifestyle, the way the McCains do. Simple as that, and it’s an important truth to get across as America gets to know its future first family.
You mean, old enough to be her grandmother, right.
Would you like to hear some rude things a 54 year old has to say about the McCains? (least the fat bald one)
Age does not bequeath respect. If it did, we’d all be kneeling to Walter Cronkite an Helen Thomas.
Oh, BTW, I have a great deal of respect for Cindy McCain.
Based on her choice of husband, something must be wrong there.
But I don’t think ANY conservative should appear on that panel. A better representation of left-wing bias and vitriol would be hard to find.
Negative, how? I read her book, so I feel like I can comment. Bristol simply wrote of an anecdote that, if true, illustrates the vast difference between the culture of the two families. Cindy(sic?) McCain was probably heartfelt in her desire to be close to the Palins, not realizing the strength of familial ties that Bristol and the other Palin children have with their immediate family. No harm, no foul, unless the reader is determined to read between the lines and interject a personal narrative. By the way, it was a great read.
