California companies fleeing the Golden State

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Buffeted by high taxes, strict regulations and uncertain state budgets, a growing number of California companies are seeking friendlier business environments outside of the Golden State.

And governors around the country, smelling blood in the water, have stepped up their courtship of California companies. Officials in states like Florida, Texas, Arizona and Utah are telling California firms how business-friendly they are in comparison.

Companies are "disinvesting" in California at a rate five times greater than just two years ago, said Joseph Vranich, a business relocation expert based in Irvine. This includes leaving altogether, establishing divisions elsewhere or opting not to set up shop in California.

Washington State is heading in the same direction. We are ten years or so behind California in terms of chasing businesses out and inviting illegals in, but the commie liberal retards who run Washington are taking us down the same road.

Perhaps it will be the first state with 100% government jobs. ;-)

The businesses leaving California are a bunch of capitalist pigs who pollute the earth. California does not need them. The illegal aliens (exuse me, I mean migrant workers) are making the state rich. Green technology and bullet trains will lead the way to a better California. As long as the public employees are on the payroll and paying union dues all is well in California. Excuse me, I have to go barf.

a friend of mine lost a good paying job becuase the state of californicate

suddenly demanded that the company warranty the product for the lifetime of the house.

no 5 year warranty would do.

the state wanted a reserve of money to pay customers decades later.

the company moved messico.

Only Michigan and Puerto Rico lost population from 2000 to 2010.

California had a 28% growth in Latino population in the same time frame.

Sounds just like Connecticut with Socialist Governor Malloy.

When will working people learn that they are voting against their jobs when the put sanctuary saints in charge?

They will learn when they lose their homes and wolfing down high carb macaroni and cheese out of the little boxes.

Elections have consequences.

Yeap too many taxes and regulations always lead to job loss and destruction of the economy. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

You don’t need to lose population to lose representation.

Missouri’s population *increased* by 7%, but they lost a seat. New York’s population *increased* by 2.1%, but they lost two seats.

California’s population increased by 10%, about the same as the US overall at 9.7%, and thus neither lost nor gained seats.
