I read about this story when it happened. I do wonder how the media picks and choses what murdered or missing child they are going to focus on.

Is this late-term abortion? They are referring to the 5 infants as being gestational age between 32 to 43 weeks.

Years ago a friend was killed by her husband. He chased her through the house to corner her in the kids room, and savagely stabbed her dozens of times her in front of the screaming kids.

His parents then came over and tried to destroy the evidence. This was a young, upperclass couple - everything that IMHO would guarantee a sensational trial. But only the local press covered it.

He’s now out of prison, by the way.

Probably more to do with the fact the Caylee was first reported missing.

When they are missing the media is usually contacted by the parent, or someone looking for the child.

Also, photos, our media is visual, so photos of the child while still living (not photos of their poor dead bodies) I think further the story along. People relate to it.

This case and the cases mentioned here are one reason I’m glad I dumped TV in1997. These stories are not national news. They are “national Enquirer stories”. I didn’t even know about this case until I actually entered a thread here a few weeks ago. I was shocked at how many people thought she was guilty, guilty, guilty and if you thought there may be some doubt you just didn’t understand.

And then when the jury returned a decision they were just stupid people on the jury. A story is news when the perp is NOT a family member. That matters to all of us because we could be the next victim. When it is a family member, the family members, the judicial system, and busybodys are the ones who are primarily concerned.

And we all have a little busybody in us...
