Looking for contacts for homeschooling in western North Carolina, support groups, ways of dealing with state government. Am inquiring on behalf of a friend.
Home School Legal Defense Association is a national group. I haven’t kept up with them since we finished our home schooling. But, we were always members.
www.hslda.org Still homeschooling and would not suggest being without their support and legal backing. School districts can get downright nasty when you pull “their” students out of “their” classrooms. Messes with the $$$$ and they can’t shape the minds of the youth if they don’t attend an approved re-education facility.
BTTT....
You can find the state organization on the HSLDA website. There is plenty of support for HSers in NC.
NC is the home of the John Locke Foundation. They are firmly school choice. They publish the Carolina Journal. Start there.
Western...??? I “might” know somebody who would know. I’ll PM you Mamzelle.
Do you know who has the Homeschool ping list?
Here’s some who would know (or would ping to those who know.)
Ping to the homeschoolers.
Sorry it’s so late. I was traveling for most of the last three weeks and just found this going through my ping list looking for something.
