If the charges are overturned, she can likely sue the Dep’t. of Corrections for false imprisonment. That must be the angle. Otherwise, what sense does it make?
I doubt it....how can she sue, she was charged with MURDER....nothing wrong with keeping her locked up, perfectly legal. AND she was found guilty of lying. Remains to be seen if it can be overturned.
They have her on many tapes lying. Lying which she and Baez admitted to in her defense.
They are doing this to tie this case up in appeals courts. It can take years.
Meanwhile Casey can leave town.
They know Casey would lose, but that is down the road.
