NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) A southern Arizona student and father expecting his first child has been found dead in Nogales, Mexico, with what authorities say are signs of torture.

Sonora State Police say the body of 21-year-old Juan Carlos Navarro of Nogales, Ariz., was found wrapped in a blanket on a roadside in the upscale Colonia Kennedy neighborhood.

Heaven forbid we use our military to... you know... actually protect our own soil!

The border will still be safe when car bombs and beheadings are taking place around the outskirts of San Antonio.../s

Why anyone in the USA would trapse south of the border is a mystery to me. I guess some folks see risk different than I do.

I saw many sights and met some great people there in the early 80s; I haven't been back to Mexico in 20 years. The risk is too high.

No young American has any business visiting Mexico.

Of course I'm in California... Mexico's come to me.

I look at it differently. I can be in Mexico in 10 minutes, just a short drive across town.
I think it is like that for most Californians now.

Why don’t we get the Govt to send them machine guns

While they're at it they can blame gun stores and gun shows!

I guess this guy wasn’t listening to the news.

Americans do not belong in Mexico. Not in any part of it.

“Peque” Navarro hung around with some bad guys, including one who accompanied him to Nogales, Sonora, on the day he was killed. Peque was arrested in 2008 when found loading bales of marijuana. In sum, his story has the usual borderland complications.

My wife (to be) and I spent many wonderful nights in Juarez
back in ‘93 and ‘94 — one of the greatest places I’ve
ever been (and we’ve been lucky enough to travel a bit).
I wouldn’t fly over that hell hole POS now. Worst effin’ city on the planet. Bombs awy Curtis Lemay is what I say!

I’ve had lots of good times in decades past in Puerto Vallarta. Wouldn’t go there now if it was free.

I don’t know how Mexico fixes this. I really don’t know.

Everything will be OK. Obama can cheer up the victim’s family with some of his moats-with-alligators jokes.
