I know the guys that compete at the top levels in the Hawaii Ironman triathlon take a few weeks to recuperate.

Got to wonder how long after winning the top spots on the TDF those guys are really ready to ride again. What was it, 2,000+ miles, much of it at max effort, or close to it?

The sort of conditioning that has them ready to go at the mountains again is mind boggling.....
