ROTFLOL pencil.

Good lord. One entire paragraph didn't even visibly xerox, the stipulation is from 2007, and the minute order doesn't address the issue.

So what am I supposed to do with THAT?

The emails were always interesting. You find some really enlightening stuff in those.

Small firm, general practice. We live in a rural area so it is mostly contract and wills/trusts. We do some family law as well.

The worst proofreading (or lack thereof) comes from Legal Aid.

Yep, blame the poor clerical worker. Dad gummit; this is not double jeopardy.

Certainly can give you the real "flavor" of the case, especially when it is off the record. :-)

Have you ever viewed an original deed or should I say land grant from the 1800s? They are in better shape. They actually are stamped with candle wax.

Don’t ever try to find an owner in Las Vegas on a title search. They are unbelievable.

We all know nothing is truly off the record.

Personally, I am very circumspect in my emails. I can't believe some of the emails I see other paralegals send out because they are lazy. Sometimes they give away the farm and sometimes they practice unauthorized practice of law - and it's in writing, yet.

If I need to communicate with the other side, I always do it in a piece of careful, formal correspondence (no phone calls, a waste of time). And I ALWAYS keep the fax transmission receipt. That has saved my hide more than once!

I have had trouble with faxes not being dated and timed in the past. It made the other side mad; but I always called them and said resend with time and date.

You are very smart. I finally talked my boss into getting the machine that prints an image of the first page of the document on the fax transmission receipt.
What a godsend when you have a pile of the receipts sitting on the counter and you are trying to figure out who the heck's case they go to. Arrrggghhhh, hair pulling time!

So let me get this straight. They all stipulate to the clerical issue, and now she might skip because they can't figure out jurisdiction?

What the hell is wrong with the state? Why is the Judge having to do THEIR WORK and having to play lawyer? Have they given up?

I feel really sorry for Judge Perry right now. He has to go and do some more reading.

So I guess no ruling today, right? Sounds like he has much work on his plate.
