Firstly I would like to thank you all for the prayers and information on behalf of my beautiful wife and myself and my sisters and dad. I would also like to thank you on behalf of our 6 year old. . Unfortunately my mum passed last Wednesday. My mum had suffered both upper and lower brain injuries. We made the saddest decision to reduce the medication that was maintaining her blood pressure and 6 hours later she moved to the side of the angels. I know the prayers made a huge difference, because on the sadest moments my dad and us all was filled with a strength that can only come from God. My mum was also helping, we all felt it. We buried my mum on Saturday. I took on board all people recommended here. My wife and I decided to let our son go to the removal to the church. We decided to not let him see his gran. She was not really recognisable due to her injuries. I can honestly say that explaining to our son and letting him go was a great decision for us. We prayed for his gran and he got very very upset but he did accept his gran was not coming back. I can say honestly explaining that was very difficult. He did not want to goto the burial or initially to visit her grave yesterday. At the last moment yesterday he changed his mind and again for those who don’t believe in a higher power I honestly feel (and i do not mean this to be in any way insulting) very sad for you. Again we all felt a support and our son was,and I know it will sound strange, relieved he went to say goodbye to his gran. We said our prayers again. He still gets sad but I think this was the best for him and he knows his gran is with God
I decided to post this info as it may in the future help someone here facing the same tough decisions.
On behalf of my family I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will return the prayers for you and your family.
Finally to those who sent me emails I also thank each and everyone of you for your suggestions and prayers, it was incredibly kind of you to send the emails and is really appreciated....more than you will ever know

You sought prayer, and so were Divinely guided through this. Never question the decisions that you made. Also, you were sensitive to your son’s responses and needs, so all will be well.
i was out of town & out of Internet reach last week & missed this thread.
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom, always difficult and these more profound circumstances added to the trauma
God bless your little boy. I am sorry he will not have her love with him as he grows up but I do know you will all keep her memory alive with lots of pix & stories.
