It’s called ‘Odori-Don’ which means ‘Dancing Squid Rice Bowl’
Odori Don is a hakodate dish where a squids head is removed and its legs are served nearly fresh. So fresh that adding soy sauce to the squid causes its legs to dance, even with its brain detached. Thats rightthis squid dances without its brain.

Having lived in Japan for 3 years, I am convinced that a lot of Japanese cuisine is based on a dare. I don't know how many times my Japanese "friends" would put something really bizarre in front of my and tell me it was a "Japanese delicacy." They did it as a joke to see how polite I would be.
I also tried several Japanese "delicacies" that I saw for the first time watching Star Trek. The thing they stuck in Chekov's ear to control his mind in the "Wrath of Khan." Yeah, I ate one of those raw. It didn't taste very good. Remember the flat looking thing that attached itself to Spock's back in the original series? That tasted better and, as a bonus, it was cooked.
