It's just as well the end is in sight. The pressure was getting to the cast.

I love this show. How was the pressure getting to the cast?

Never watched more than a few episodes. Always seemed amc was trying to glorify the lives of drug dealers. I dunno... making a meth labber the hero just didn’t seem appropriate. What next? A program about a NAMBLA lobbyist?

I never thought Jesse would have the stones to shoot that guy.

I was hoping he wounded him in the arm then told him to hit the road and never look back- and schooled him on why he would end up being dead

that said- I can’t imagine where the original script writers think this is going.

Walt was supposed to be this geek in over his head- but now he is just going along as if it is all commonplace to him. that part of the show is gone, I hope not forever.

I intend to buy the serieis and watch them from the start. We are due for a serious plot twist.

The first year will be tough to beat- the episode where they almost kill the drug dealer and then he runs into atree was hilarious.

When Walt runs over the two punks just as Jesse is about to have a firefight, then gets out and blasts him was seriously cool.

Wasn’t he supposed to have inoperable cancer and was going to die? So much for that plot point.

Season 1: Walter was the good man looking out for the future of his family.

Season 2: Walter first tastes the problems of Faustian bargains.

Season 3: No longer dancing with Satan, now dating Satan.

Breaking Bad is a compelling drama that seems near to exhausting its premises. Five to seven successful seasons is the limit for most scripted TV shows. After that, they either become stale and repetitive or, to develop new material, move in directions that alienate their core audience.

TV show creators and studios thus now seem to aim at a five to seven season run in their story planning and talent contracts. They also recognize the value of bringing the story lines and characters to conclusions that satisfy fans -- all the better for cable and syndication resales and DVD box sets. I look forward to the remaining episodes of Breaking Bad as likely to be some of the best.

Is it just me or does Walter remind anyone else of a cross between Basil Fawlty and John Locke?
