When I was a kid, my dogs [and horses] were my only playmates.

There weren’t any kids nearby and somehow, I don’t think I turned out the worse for it.

I’ve been described as having a “dog-loyal devotion” to my human friends.

Gee...wonder where I learned *that* from?

When I am jumped by one of the “animals are lesser beings” folks, I'll just say “well bless your heart”. In case you don't know that is how a genteel southern lady says “FU you SOB”! :)
