I doubt it's really her food that bothers him. He seems to hate what he considers “fake” Chefs like Rachel Ray and Paula Deen, who portray everything in the culinary word as all sunshine and lollipops. When the real culinary world, according to him, is dirty, cutthroat, underhanded and little better than Los Vegas under the mafia. He use to trash Emeril for the same reason, buy after he met him, he claimed he'd change his mind and said that Emeril is the real deal off camera. Now Bourdain calls him a lovable fuzzy little amok.

Los Vegas under the mafia Another topic, but Vegas under the mob was a fun place to visit. Nowadays under corporate rule, it's just a tacky tourist trap.

Thought Bourdain buried the hatchet with Ray as well at one point.
Enjoyed his show for a while but have tired of it. Have no interest at all in who he considers to be a real chef.
I know decadent food vs. healthy food and am well aware how to eat and when I can splurge, without help from Tony, or Jamie Oliver for that matter..

Why would people tune in to watch misery? I know they do, but I’m not one of them. I have enough problems in life, and in my off time, I like to forget them and soak in the sunshine.
Life’s to short to waste being miserable when you don’t have to.
