I will admit though, with the way our country is crashing, and how the feds are trying everything in their power to further control our food supply, whenever I see a rabbit now Im thinking food and would have no problem with killing one. I got my first rabbit as a pet recently, and as soon as I get a decent outdoor hutch built, will get a second and start raising baby bunnies. I'm going to give them away until I need to raise them for meat, because they really are very cute, but I'm going to have the meat option available.

Not too many cats or dogs here but there are Coyotes, Bobcats, Red Tailed Hawks and just this morning a sharp shinned hawk was sitting in a tree not twenty feet from my kitchen window. Those are a little rare. Peregrine Falcons have been known to live in the area too and anything that dares go out at night might run afoul of a Great Horned Owl.
But I saw the little sibling of the one that got trapped in the garage today sitting under the shed. Its momma must be around still too. They have a few places to hide nearby so they have a chance. These are wild Cottontail Rabbits.
