Is Gallup purpsosely bringing down Obama's numbers so as to raise them at the right time to discourage opponents? I trust none of these polls

Purposefully “bringing down?” Why do you think they should be higher or something. To me they should be even lower.

If anything, the poll is pushing an awfully rosy view.

Gallup is playing games.

The numbers will continue to go down to 30-35% until January. Then there will be a turnaround and the numbers will go up into the high forties and it will be played at Gallup and in the media as “The Great Obama Comeback”.

Headlines will shout how Obama came back from the brink and is back on top. Because all the bad numbers can’t go much lower (there is hardly anybody left to lay off or any regulations that will do any more damage) the slightest upward tick, like unemployment at 8.9%, will have the Obama Hallelujah Chorus sceaming about he rescued America from the brink and how America is loving him again.

Gallup is the unofficial polling arm of the DNC. They will rig the numbers and the questions to make Obama look good.

Agreed. A poll of 1,500 likely voters would show about a 31% approval, at best. He is in Carter/Nixon territory. The country has completely tuned him out and is even now looking for a replacement.

I think pollsters are just about as ethically challenged as real estate appraisers. They both can just about give you any number you want and back it up with stacks of documentation.

Conspiracy? I never said conspiracy, but you’re naive if you think the polling companies don’t operate the same as the MSM.

He’s down everywhere, you really don’t need a polling company to tell you that.

There is nothing this guy can do to turn things around. His numbers reflect a downward spiral since he took office. There is no learning curve here. This guy is inept, incompetent, way out of his league. The only reason his numbers might go up is if he successfully plays the race card again, and enough Americans feel sorry for him. Which I doubt will happen. This guy is pathetic. He was never qualified for the job. We put an imbecile to run against him. Thanks to Huckabee and others...

I’d like to see Palin run or for her to endorse Perry. I thnk she’ll run to take some of the heat off of him.

2 years ago they could bus in 400 SEIU thugs to “support” my marxist congressman for several hours.

Today they can only bus in 30 to protest against my republican congressman for an hour.

The recent drop is due to disillusionment on the left; even Maxine is expressing some disdain. The blacks are getting restless and rightly so...unemployment among blacks is 40% in some areas.

Obama is in a quandary...he can't completely cold-shoulder the corporate world because he needs contributions. Yet, every time he helps his favorite corporate buddies and appears weak (can't get a tax-hike through) the left gets angrier.

Obama is in a big mess.

If you love this Country I don't see how you could approve of ANYTHING that b*stard does! He should be at ZERO and action should be underway to remove and incarcerate him!

Yeah, but red staters tend to be puzzled by how even 38% can still be supporting him. If you’re surrounded by his knucklehead fans, however, it’s not a mystery.

I agree: Obama’s approval should be much lower.

To wit, my ex-wife and her husband are uber-liberals. Whenever I would pick up my kids for the weekend or vacations, they would always want to engage me in a political conversation about Obama (to which I always refused). But NOW they are some of his biggest critics and are in the process of moving from Nevada to Texas because her husband lost his job and has been out of work for 2 years. Furthermore, the value of their big, fancy, high profile home has lost 50% of its value and is continuing to lose value. Very sad. They would love to string Mawgli up by his heels and use him as a pinata (not literally, of course). They are very PO’d and disturb by his actions and blame him for their situation. Typical libtards: It’s always somebody else’s fault, never theirs.

Now they understand what Obama means by “hope and change”, eh?

There’s no hope for Obama because there isn’t any change left in most peoples pockets.

So you must believe that Rasmussen is in the MSM pocket also. But he has been w/i 1% of actuals in his election polling for the last few elections. Just what do these pollsters have to gain by lying?

There is a hardcore of Obama supporters among Leftists and Blacks who would continue to support Obama if he divorced Michelle and married the family goat then tore down Washington Monument and exposed himself on the floor of the senate, so these numbers are pretty low.

In fact, given the collective personality of congress, if he exposed himself on the floor of the senate, his numbers would doubtlessly rise.
