The environmentalists have flipped out! They are sitting in at the White House to protest new energy sources like oil sands and demanding new regulations on power plants and industry. If Obama gives in, it means higher gas prices. If not, he loses their support

Democrats created the environmentalist monster, now they can’t control it. Watch for a night of the long knives kind of event within the Democrat party. The environmentalists and the unions can no longer ignore the fact that they are at cross purposes.

Environmental regulations are being used, not to assure clean air and water, but to bludgeon those entrepreneurs that generate the revenues that make the clean air and water possible.

Back when Hitler was building his movement he used a group called the Brown Shirts as his muscle. A rather crude and uncouth group, they were physically eliminated by the SS after Hitler attained power. The problem for the DNC is that every group within their taker’s coalition (greens, labor, Black Caucus types, La Raza, gays etc.) are ‘muscle’ for the Left. It worked just fine in an era of expanding government but they will soon be fighting each other over the crumbs.

The greens aren't muscle, they are just noise makers. Anyone who has watched Whale Wars knows just how long those vegan hippies would last against the stone cold killers that work for Nation of Islam or the SEIU.

Besides on the Night of the Long Knives they didn't kill the brown shirts, just their leaders. And being a leftist group that was all they had to do. The left doesn't teach it's followers to think for themselves. It follows them to do as they are told.

If the leaders of the environmental groups get too loud and don't toe the line they will be eliminated, not in the traditional, literal, fashion. Instead they will suddenly find themselves on the wrong end of IRS or SEC investigations. Or if Obama hits the panic button he can just have the reports NASA and others have been sitting on about there being no global warming for the last then years make it onto CNN and MSNBC. In either case the current group of leaders get knocked off their pedestal and new Obama approved leaders for some new equally farcical environmental cause will emerge to tell the sheep what to do.

The Green wing of the Democrat Party proves that the Left really do not care about the poor.

It is a fact that the higher the price of fuel rises the more poor people die.

IF the poor can not afford to buy fuel to heat or cool their homes they will die. If they can not buy fuel to put in their car or buy transportation of other kinds because the price is too high they will miss doctor’s appointments or not be able to get to the pharmacy and they will die prematurely of illness.

Cheap fuel is what drives the economic engine of capitalism. Cheap fuel makes it possible to bring affordable products to market. Cheap fuel creates jobs. If Obama wants to win the election in 2012 he should do everything possible to drill, drill, drill.
