I thought Luntz recently paid her some compliments and said that she would shake up the race, that she was a very gifted politician with a passionate following, etc.

The quotes on this thread sound totally different from what he said recently.

frank luntz may be the most annoying person on the planet. it drives me to distraction whenever he and his little mob of wheel turning idiots show up after a debate to tell me what to think. a “focus” group, I believe he calls it.

I have actually flipped over to PMSNBC.

It would appear he's been gotten to... probaly someone telling him, "We were going to hire you for alot of polling, but we don't like you saying nice things about that woman... how about a little "good faith" damage control there, Frankie?"

Yes, she has an enthusiastic following, but she is a rock star not a legitimate candidate. A few months as governor and no knowledge of economics etc.

Last Sunday on "This week" (the Disney News show), Luntz was a guest on their panel. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe he was just trying to fit in. Maybe he had too much to drink before going on the air. Maybe it wasn't really Frank Luntz, but a double that ABC hired to read their script.

Whatever the explanation, in between changing feet, some truly weird words came out of his mouth, including something about there being no room for Sarah Palin in the Republican Primary races because she occupies the same space as Michele Bachmann.

He was also pushing Chris Christie and Paul Ryan as potential additional candidates.

Maybe he thought they were making a movie for Disney and he was playing a part in it and had to read the script.

... Frank Luntz, formerly considered to be an objective pollster whose reports could be counted upon for their evenhanded dissemination of scientifically generated data...

Luntz objective? Evenhanded? Not in this lifetime. The guy is a propagandist, always has been.

A few months as governor and no knowledge of economics etc.

Troll Alert!

How about a few months as Senator and no knowledge of economics? Does that work for you?

I'll even throw in a little community organizing.

Luntz is a pollster. I suspect he is saying that from what his subjects tell him, the two women appeal to the same constituency, and Bachmann got there first. He may well be right about that, but it does not imply Sarah Palin can't run and win. She just has to beat Bachmann.

Before you say anything watch this Luntz video. He did not say anything bad about Sarah.

Couldn't read past there. The author obviously isn't an NRA member/2A advocate.

Yeah, I heard him say some really nice stuff this week. It is just that there is no room for any criticisam at all of Palin.

That said, it is perfectly okay to savagely criticise the candidates that are actually running.

So, everyone who dares offer a little criticism is added to the naughty list.

"Suffice to say, there was a time up until quite recently when Frank Luntz could be counted upon for fair and objective analysis of hard data based on factual proof........"

Luntz fair and objective - anyone who would prance around all of the time spouting euphemisms and using poll-tested words, wearing that garish red wig looking like Bozo the clown or Clarabelle (acting like the useful idiot the left love.)
