My concealed carry instructor said the only people who carried in fanny packs were either gay or didn’t know it was 2011.
“My concealed carry instructor said the only people who carried in fanny packs were either gay or didnt know it was 2011.”
That’s an old wives tale. It is one option among several. Certainly not generally the preferred method but better than not carrying at all. To the old fanny pack observation “he is either gay or he is packing (or both)”, the answer is so what, let the passersby guess - he’s either both or neither.
It’s not a bad thing to have an arsenal of holster options at one’s disposal.
Everyone who carries needs to do so in the way that is most comfortable and works the best for him, or her, and his or her firearm.
For me, a fanny pack works really well, much better than carrying in a purse. I've been told that I "look like a tourist" with my fanny pack on. That is perfectly all right with me, since "tourists" come across as harmless.
I agree with the other poster about using it in the car, too, with the seat belt riding below the fanny pack. It keeps everything I need within reach and in no danger of flying in case of sudden stops or accidents.
First of all, its not a "fanny pack", it's a "field pack".
Fanny is NOT a very nice word in Australia. (Look it up) And second of all, your concealed carry instructor didn't have to travel all over the USA with 12 college girls.
I always travel with my field pack when I travel with the team. Got a headache? Ask me, I have something for it. Need something for your upset tummy? Got it right here. Need some Dramamine for your air-sickness? Got it right here in my FIELD PACK. You want something from me? Then DON'T CALL IT A FANNY PACK.
