No, I don’t think it is possible he changed SD. If he had changed BEFORE getting caught, I might believe it - but he didn’t. He knew it was illegal, he knew it was cruel, he knew it was wrong but he did it anyway. Just because the law caught him doesn’t mean he is changed - it means someone made him stop. That doesn’t mean his mind changed about the activity.
