Sounds similar to Steak and Ale in the early days. One of the best sirloinburgers in North America was in a Steak and Ale in Niagara Falls. Another one was in San Jose, California where they had a wine license.
I used to watch for them when on travel because they had the best buy for the money and the burgers were exceptional.
I miss Steak And Ale. I worked at one when I was in HS. I forgot about their burger until just now. IT WAS a truely exceptional burger. For a steak joint, we sold ALOT of burgers.
I miss Steak And Ales Kensington Club steak. I've got the recipe and have made it a few times. Somehow, I just remember it as better. And my friends rave about when I make mine.
